Rappahanock Community College

Rappahannock Community College has two campuses in Virginia, one in Glenns and one in Warsaw. Students from counties all over Virginia attend RCC. Rappahannock has roughly 3,206 students enrolled. It’s the open admissions that draw students to the welcoming college. The degrees here go up to Associate. Therapy, counseling and liberal arts are courses most students commonly pursue. Degrees of study at Rappahannock are business management, mathematics, practical nursing, culinary arts, and law enforcement.

There’s a voluntary duel enrollment program at RCC that enables students to take college courses while they are still in high school. This provides them a college level education that they normally wouldn’t get. Degree programs are outlined in the duel enrollment plan which students can look up online in the Degree Programs section of the College Catalog when they choose a degree.

There are advantages in choosing duel enrollment such as it saves you time and money, it can shorten the amount of time you will spend in college completing your degree, it gives student an exposure into academics at a college level early on, and it also gives high school students the chance to earn college credit while still earning a high school diploma. Any credits that a high school student earns in duel enrollment can apply toward their degree after high school when they fully enroll in college. They can transfer any credits earned to most 4 year colleges in Virginia.
